(NECN/CNN) - Wildfires have now destroyed nearly 1,400 homes in Central Texas.
Firefighters have been battling to get the blazes under control for days.
The Bastrop County fire has left two people dead. Nearly 800 homes were burned in the Bastrop area.
About 5,000 residents remain evacuated.
