(NECNKNXV: Tonopah, Arizona) - Officials have now confirmed the storm that ripped through Tonopah, Arizona Thursday night, was a tornado.
The twister tore homes apart, pulled the roofs off several structures and scattered debris across several neighborhoods.
At least one car was nearly buried by the rubble.
The city's fire captain says a mobile home was ripped from its based, and flipped over with the owner inside.
That person managed to get out with minor injuries.
As for the home, it's a total loss.
Crews were busy most of the day trying to clean-up the mess.
