(NECN) - NECN meteorologist Danielle Niles says the National Weather Service has issued tornado watches for Fairfield and Litchfield counties in western Connecticut.
The watches are in effect until 6:00 tonight.
Tornado watches have also been issued for western Massachusetts, New Jersey, southeastern New York, eastern Pennsylvania and coastal areas.
People are urged to be on the lookout for bad weather conditions, monitor weather reports and use caution.
