Upcoming Weekend to See Mild Air Continuing Its Push Into New England

After one shot of cool air on Thursday, winds will quickly turn to blow from the south again, sending mild air back into New England and the Northeast heading into the upcoming weekend.  As weak shots of cool air from Canada resist the return of warmth, the likely result will be abundant clouds through the weekend with periodic showers, particularly as a stronger storm develops through the Midwest and into the Great Lakes late in the weekend into early next week.  Of course, with a counter-clockwise flow of air around the storm center, this only strengthens the flow of warmth northward into the Northeast corridor, and eventually is likely to result in a period of more intense showers.
