Weather Advisory: Flash Flood Warning for Boston Metropolitan Area

    Warning in effect until 6:45 p.m. (Published Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014)

    (NECN) - Meteorologist Matt Noyes is tracking thunderstorms in the area.

    The National Weather Service in Taunton has issued a Flash Flood Warning for: Southeastern Middlesex County in northeast Massachusetts; Suffolk County in eastern Massachusetts; Northern Norfolk County in eastern Massachusetts; Extreme South Central Essex County in northeast Massachusetts.

    This warning is in effect until 6:45 pm EDT.

    At 4:35 pm EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing Heavy Rain across the warned area.

    Some locations that will experience flooding include: Boston, Cambridge, Newton, Somerville, Brookline, Weston. Revere, Everett, Chelsea, Watertown, Needham. Dedham, Winthrop, West Roxbury, Hyde Park, South Boston, Jamaica Plain, Allston, East Boston, Forest Hills, Mattapan, Brighton, Dorchester, Charlestown and Roslindale.
