(NECN) - We reached out to Arizona to check out the conditions on the ground and on the fire.
The Weather Channel’s Dave Malkoff joined us live from Prescott, Ariz.
Nineteen firefighters in the elite “Hotshot” team died in the wildfire. Their team was the first to enter the wildfire to make attempts to control it.
In terms of battling the blaze, Malkoff said the weather may bring more lightning bolts.
He said there are over 400 firefighters who still have to contain the fire, all while they mourn their fallen brothers.
