Winds Blow Quebec Wildfire Smoke to New England

(NECN) - Strong winds have brought smoke from Quebec wildfires into Northern New England this weekend.

Dozens of fires were burning in Southern Quebec. Smoke from those fires spread south and east across much of Maine, New Hampshire and Northeast Vermont on Sunday, reducing visibility in some places.

The weather services said the smoky conditions should clear on Memorial Day when winds shift.
