“Salt,” The Grand Dame of Stellwagen and One of the Most Famous Whales in the World, Reappears!

Salt...is back! Today's Boston Harbor Cruises' New England Aquarium Whale Watch tour saw this delightful sight off the Massachusetts Coast Thursday afternoon, as "The Grand Dame of Stellwagen Bank," Salt, one of the most famous whales in the world, showed her fluke for all to see as she dove for food. A North Atlantic Humpback, Salt was first spotted in the 1970s, but hadn't been seen at all this year - the naturalist on-board the boat was thrilled to see Salt is still alive and well.
