Haze and humidity building through Wednesday, Improvements for the WeekendA hot and humid day is in store for today across the area as a southwest flow continues to funnel in warmth from south of the region. Mostly sunny with highs around 90. A cold front approaches from the west tonight, triggering showers and thunderstorms, some strong/severe, mainly across northern & western areas. Cold front slowly moves across Southern New England tomorrow morning, clearing the eastern coasts before midday. Showers linger behind front across southeastern areas in the morning, resulting in highs in the 70s for most. High pressure moves into the region on Friday, bringing seasonable temperatures, sunny skies, and a few seabreezes to our area, highs in the low to mid 80s. Mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 80s are expected for Saturday. The next disturbance moves in Sunday and ushers in a cold front on Monday, bringing cloudy skies and the threat of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the low 80s on both days.
