Scattered Showers/T'storms North Today, Watching Stalled Front For Weekend.
Partly sunny skies with highs in the 70's and Lwr 80's today. Scattered showers and t'storms will be moving across VT, NH, and ME during the afternoon hours. Some storms will come with lightning, small hail and gusty winds. Clearing skies and patchy fog in low-lying areas tonight with lows in the 50's and 60s. Friday...sunny to partly cloudy skies, with the threat of a PM shower west, highs in the lwr 80s as the wind shifts from southwest to south. A stationary front will hug the south coast for much of the weekend. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with breaks of sun farther North and West. Light SE winds will keep temps in the 70's, nearing 80 far north and west. Latest information does not look as wet for the weekend, so plan on plenty of dry periods this Weekend. There is a risk of scattered pop up showers or storms both Saturday and Sunday in Northern and Western New England. Also, the south coast will also have the risk of showers from time to time. The timing, placement and intensity of rain is till in question, but have some hope. It should not be a weekend washout by any means. Better information will come in as we get closer. Hopefully the drier trend will continue. The stationary front moves back offshore Monday, but a cold front will push through bringing more scattered showers and storms. Highs in the low 80s. High pressure will settle in for the rest of next week with fair weather and highs in the Lwr 80's
