Ariana Grande Drops ‘Mean Girls' Inspired ‘thank u, next' Video

The video references several popular teen movies like "Legally Blonde," "13 Going on 30" and "Bring It On."

Ariana Grande has just released the music video for her song "thank u next," and she does it "Mean Girls" style.

In "thank u, next" Grande sings about her exes--Rapper Big Sean, dancer Ricky Alvarez, late rapper and singer Mac Miller, and 'SNL' star Pete Davidson. "One taught me love," she sings, "one taught me patience, And one taught me pain."

Grande's relationships have recently been dwelled on in the public limelight. After they met on the set of SNL in March 2016, Grande began dating Davidson at the end of last May. They eventually got engaged, but split in October.

The video references popular teen movies like "Mean Girls," "Legally Blonde," "13 Going on 30" and "Bring It On." In the video, the singer performs the "Mean Girls" Christmas dance, and a blonde Grande flips through a 'burn book' with "Thank U, Next" written on its front. At the start of the video, Grande is described in the way popular girl Regina George is spoken about in the movie. The video also has the hair salon scene from "Legally Blonde" and Grande cheerleading.

The star-studded video includes cameos from Kris Jenner, as an enthusiastic mom filming a dance performance, singer Troy Sivan, and original love interest in the film, Jonathan Bennett. After the release, Jenner tweeted: "I'm not a regular mom, I'm a cool mom ;)"
