Chipotle Launches iTunes Web Series for Families

The fast food restaurant Chipotle is serving up a new and different product online starting Wednesday: an animated web series on iTunes about food preparation.

Called "RAD Lands," the series aims to educate families and kids about where their food comes from and how it's prepared, according to a news release. It'll feature celebrity chefs, musicians and YouTube personalities to reach a target audience of kids ages 7 to 10.

“We created ‘RAD Lands’ to educate young eaters and their parents about food in an entertaining and engaging way," said Mark Crumpacker, chief marketing and development officer at Chipotle, in the statement. "We hope that it sparks conversation and curiosity among families, ideally leading to smarter and more informed choices about food.”

The animated show follows a small group's journey to help save the plants and animals that make up their galaxy's fresh food sources. Their nemesis wants to turn all the galaxy's food into junk food, the news release said.
