Humorous, High-Energy Shows Entertain Boston Audiences

There are some great shows out there to catch in the Boston area this week.

Check out the fourth annual "Boston One Minute Play Festival" at the Boston Playwrights' Theatre. The performances can be seen January 3, 4, 6, and 7. The festival is a project that looks at different communities through performance dialogue and acting out specific moments. The plays support local artists and playwrights.

Comedian Jimmy Tingle's holiday shows have become a tradition, but he's hoping for a new tradition with a brand new show. This year, Tingle returns home to Cambridge, Massachusetts, on his "Humor for Humanity" tour. The performance is at Sanders Memorial Theatre at Harvard University. The show highlights personal, hilarious takes on 2014 and more.

"The Faceoff" is one of the fastest, highest energy improv shows in Boston. Two teams enter and the winner takes home the coveted, "Cheapest Trophy in the World." Catch the excitement Saturday, Jan. 3 at the Improv.
