It's Emmy time! Preparations continue in Los Angeles for Monday night's awards. The Nokia Theater will play host to the event, which will honor the year's best in television. Outside the theater, a canopy is being set up to cover the red carpet in the unlikely event of rain. Stars from your favorites show will vie for top honors and "Late Night's" Seth Meyers will host the show. The show airs at 8 p.m. on NBC.
Beyoncé gave what may be the performance of her career Sunday night at the Video Music Awards. The singer opened the number with "Mine," before telling the crowd, "MTV, welcome to my show." The "Drunk in Love" songstress was given the prestigious Video Vanguard Award. She also tried to put those divorce rumors to bed. Jay Z joined his wife onstage along with baby Blue Ivy to present his wife with the award. This is Beyoncé's fifth time performing at the annual event.
Katy Perry rocked a full-length denim ensemble for her red carpet arrival at the Video Music Awards, and it looks rather similar to what Britney Spears wore with Justin Timberlake back in 2001. Perry says it was a Versace custom gown. She Tweeted, “I must admit my outfit is a result of my love for nostalgia and my Tumblr addiction just before stepping onto the red carpet.” She added, “We're going for the worst dressed today.”
