Former Massachusetts state senator James Marzilli is responding to necn’s investigation of his overseas travel following his probation for sexual harassment.
Marzilli, 58, has been allowed to travel overseas several times, even though he is serving probation. He spent three months behind bars for sexually harassing four women in a string of bizarre incidents in Lowell in 2008. He pleaded guilty in 2011, admitting that he also trailed a woman down the sidewalk telling her "the sex is sweet, the sex is sweet, you want it..." When police officers chased him into a Lowell parking garage, he allegedly broke down crying and gave police a false name, saying he was then fellow state rep - now Boston Mayor Marty Walsh. Back in 2011, Walsh said, "I hope he gets the help he needs."
Necn learned the school where he was volunteering in Burma told him to never come back after they say he was inappropriate with the students, talking to students about inappropriate topics like prostitution and showing up appearing drunk.
When necn attempted to speak to him outside Middlesex Superior Court Monday afternoon he did not respond to questions.
He later posted a status on Facebook which read, in part, I don’t mention on FB the names of people or organizations I work with because I don’t want to expose my friend to problems with the military.”
He added, “So far, the government has not tried to do anything to harm me.

He went on to say that his heat was with the people in Burma and he wishes he was with them.
"We heard back from Probation late this (Monday) evening. A spokeswoman told us she would get back to us when she had any information to share."
