Body Found in Boat in Maine

Game wardens in Wayne, Maine are investigation the death of a man who was found in his motorboat on Pocasset Lake.

A resident discovered what looked like an abandoned boat on the lake around 10 a.m. Saturday morning. Upon closer inspection, a deceased male occupant was onboard.

Christopher Brown, 33, of Wayne, Maine, was identified as the deceased male.

According to Maine’s Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, Brown’s 14-foot Alumnacraft motorboat contacted rocks just underwater surface. The area is marked with a hazardous buoy and Brown was not wearing a life jacket. However, life jackets were found onboard the boat.

Brown was last seen at a friend’s gathering Friday evening. Wardens believed he died at some point during the night. Brown’s body was released to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner for examination.
