Missing Mother, Son Found Alive in Vermont

Two hikers who'd gone missing on Saturday in Vermont have been found alive.

Allison Passage, 29, and her 11-year-old son, James Lake, were discovered by two other hikers early Sunday evening in the area of the Somerset Reservoir. The hikers called the police and remained with Passage and Lake until rescuse crews successfully reached them around 10:15 p.m.

The U.S. Forest Service and Vermont National Guard assisted in the rescue effort, along with Deerfield Valley Rescue.

Passage and Lake had gone missing on Saturday. Neither of them were experience hikers.
