On the Record: Paul Guzzi

(NECN) - Paul Guzzi, President and CEO of Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, was featured in Thursday's edition of On the Record.

Guzzi discussed the potential impact of the sequester on Massachusetts.

"Nationwide, up to three quarters of a million jobs are at stake," Guzzi said in response to the notion that an $85 billion cut in spending could be beneficial.

If the sequester goes through and is not resolved, Guzzi said, everyone will feel the effects.

"We need to do more to control spending at the federal level. The problem is this is such a blunt instrument that it not only controls spending, but it doesn't do it in a more thoughtful way. I think that concerns everybody."

Guzzi also shared his thoughts on Paypal's expansion in Boston and on Massachusetts Treasurer Steve Grossman's decision to run for governor.
