John Hammergren, the chairman, president and CEO of the McKesson Corporation, addressed the Boston College Chief Executives' Club of Boston.

McKesson's website describes the corporation as being "in business for better health."

"If we don't change the trajectory of our spending in this country, by 2050, we will spend the entire revenue of the country on health care," said Hammergren. "I pause when I say this, but if I look around the room, many of you are actually the problem. Because the biggest consumer of health care in this country is people in the baby boom generation."
