The Rhode Island Department of Health has confirmed that norovirus was responsible for sickening about 30 people at Wright's Farm Restaurant in Burrillville, Rhode Island, last weekend.

Health officials told WJAR-TV on Friday that a few of the samples collected tested positive for norovirus. There is no word yet on where in the restaurant the virus originated from.

Frank Galleshaw, the restaurant's owner, said Thursday that the restaurant will reopen on March 24 after it is thoroughly cleaned.

About 30 people - including members of the Bryant University lacrosse tream - became ill with gastrointestinal symptoms after eating at the popular restaurant on March 12. One customer said they saw a young boy vomiting nearby.

The restaurant has been around for more than 40 years, and is known for its family-style chicken dinners, according to its website. It also hosts banquets, receptions and has its own food products and gift shop.
