(NECN) - Segway inventor Dean Kamen is teaming up with will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas to turn what could be just another nationwide science fair into a cultural movement.

For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, or FIRST, and the idea is to create a culture where science and technology are celebrated. This is done by getting children to participate in robotics competitions.
