Gaming Commission Takes Closer Look at 3 Proposed Slot Parlors in Mass.

(NECN) - The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is expected to announce a decision on the state's only slots parlor.

Stephen Crosby, head of the Gaming Commission, joins NECN's Steve Aveson for a discussion.

"There are five categories of evaluation: community mitigation, finance, site and building design, economic development and general overview section. Each commissioner will present his findings...come the end of the week, we'll be making the final decision," says Crosby.

The three applicants for the license are the Plainridge Harness Racetrack in Plainville, Raynham Park and Partner Greenwood Racing, and Cordish, which has proposed a slots parlor in Leominster.
