A spotlight is being shined by the Boston Globe on 56 companies with a presence in Massachusetts for making a significant economic and life-changing impact in New England and around the world.

The Globe has complied their stories in this new "Game Changers" magazine, which will be included in this Sunday's edition.

Steve Syre, editor of "Game Changers," says this is different than their popular "Globe 100" magazine because it includes smaller companies and start ups alongside larger and more established companies.

"Game changers can be companies or businesses that are working on profound things or really just kind of everyday things," he said.
