Fire officials say the Poland Spring bottling plant in Poland, Maine, had to be evacuated because of an ammonia leak.

A spokesman for Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston said two workers received treatment in the emergency room Thursday.

Ammonia, which is commonly used in refrigeration, can cause burns. It can also be fatal if inhaled.
