Health Officials: Maine Patient Does Not Have Ebola

Maine Medical Center was asked by the CDC to hold a patient for observation on Monday

A Maine patient who was asked to be held for observation by the CDC does not have Ebola, public health officials said.

Maine Medical Center held a patient for 24-hours on Monday as a precaution for a low-risk case, which was due to the patient's symptoms and recent travel "from a region of concern."

Maine Department of Health and Human Services Director John Martins said there were multiple negative tests and that the patient's health has improved.
