Family and friends are mourning the death of an 18-year-old West Bridgewater, Massachusetts, teen killed in a car accident.
Police say it appears Paul Chuilli Jr. lost control of his car Wednesday morning.
The community is devastated. Grief counselors were brought into West Bridgewater High School to help students after losing one of their own. His family is heartbroken after seeing the accident first hand.
"He was a star football player, he was very good," said Felix Estremera. "He was funny, he was smart. He always brought out they joy from everyone."
While driving on Aldrich Road in Bridgewater, Chuilli hit a tree, suffering serious injuries upon impact.
To make matters worse, his step mother was the dispatcher who took the 911 calls.
"She realized upon taking the phone call and obtaining the license plate information - she knew right away who it was," said Bridgewater Police chief Christopher DelMonte. "I think as soon as the father arrived on scene, as part of the fire crew, I think he realized quickly."
