1 Killed in Crash on Interstate 89 in Enfield, New Hampshire

The victim's name has not been released

One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 89 in Enfield, New Hampshire, on Tuesday afternoon.

At 4:12 p.m., New Hampshire State Police and the Lebanon and Enfield fire departments responded to I-89 south near Exit 16 in Enfield for a report of a motor vehicle crash with the vehicle on fire. Troopers attempted to reach the driver, but were unsuccessful, as the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The driver died at the scene. 

The victim's name is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

I-89 was shut down for about 45 minutes as crews worked to put out the fire. All lanes were reopened around 7:30 p.m.
