A 17-year-old boy in New Hampshire drowned Saturday at a Milton pond, according to state police.
At 4:46 p.m., authorities received a call of a distressed swimmer in Milton Pond. Upon arrival, a female was in the pond searching for the teenager, who was found underwater shortly after.
Authorities said the teen was unconscious and immediately received CPR after the Farmington Fire Department removed him from the water. Emergency responders were able to regain a pule and the teen was taken to Frisbie Hospital in Rochester in critical condition.
The boy was then taken to Maine Medical Center, where he died. State police did not release the boy’s name pending family notification, but identified him as a 17-year-old from Milton.
The investigation is ongoing.
