Officials ID Man Killed in Acton, Maine Apartment Fire

The 28-year-old man who was killed in an apartment fire has been identified, according to the State Fire Marshal's Office in Maine.

The body of Acton resident Edward Roberts was found in the destroyed apartment early Sunday, according to officials. Fire crews responded to the overnight blaze on Saturday after neighbors and passing motorists reported the flames on Hopper Road.

The fire swept through Roberts' second-floor apartment, which was located on top of a garage.

The cause of the blaze remains under investigation, according to authorities.
