3 Arrested For Heroin Sales in Maine

Investigation is ongoing; more arrests are expected

Three people have been arrested in Maine this week, accused of selling heroin.

Alfred Ruiz Garcia, 50, of Portland was arrested in Ellsworth on Monday and charged with distribution of heroin. As part of an ongoing investigation, Garcia was arrested after he drove from Portland to distribute a significant amount of heroin in Hancock County. He was found to be in possession of approximately seven grams of heroin with a street value of $4,000.

Garcia was just recently released from federal prison after serving a lengthy sentence for drug distribution. Bail has been initially set at $25,000 cash.

In an unrelated case, drug agents this week re-arrested a New York man for selling heroin in Bangor. Isaiah Lammar Orane, who goes by "Izzy," had been free on bail after being charged with selling heroin.

An Ellsworth woman was also charged.

Orane, 18, of Brooklyn, was re-arrested on Monday in Bangor after selling heroin to an undercover drug agent. He is being held pending a court hearing.

Also arrested Monday as part of Orane's investigation was 22-year-old Noelle Hansen. Hansen also sold heroin to an undercover agent. She is being held on $10,000 bail.

Drug agents say the investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
