(NECN) - It's not news frequent fliers want to hear. Fares on U.S. airlines are ticking up again.
Farecompare.com says American Airlines started the increases by boosting prices by up to $10 on each flight.
Eight other U.S. airlines followed suit.
Farecompare.com says the airlines could try to raise prices again heading into the new year because of rising prices for oil and jet fuel.
