(NECN) - The President will get recommendations on curbing gun violence by Tuesday.
That's the word Thursday from vice president Joe Biden.
Biden says a consensus has been emerging on proposals, such as tightening background checks for gun buyers.
The President hopes to announce his administration's steps to address gun violence later this month.
The effort follows the deadly school shooting last month in Newtown, Conn.
