Boston Breakers Kick It for Japan

(NECN: Tom Langford) - The Boston Breakers soccer team has their home opener this Sunday. But before they take the field, they are trying to raise money for their fellow soccer players in Japan.

Some team members trained with a Japanese club during the off-season, and returned to the U.S. two weeks before the devastating earthquake and tsunami. We talked with Leslie Osborne and Taryn Hemming on The Morning Show.

'Kicks for Japan' is Friday, April 15 at Cumnock Fields on the Harvard University Campus. Boys and Girls ages 5 -16 can participate for a minimum $40 donation. All proceeds will go directly to the TEPCO Mareeze players and their families.
