(NECN) - A Boston police officer is accused of assaulting his wife.
Police arrested patrol officer Dennis Morson after a domestic incident early Saturday.
He has been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation, and is due in court Tuesday.
Police Commissioner Edward Davis stated, "These are troubling charges that will be fully investigated. The Boston Police Department continues to ensure our integrity and credibility by taking all alleged matters of officer misconduct seriously."
