Braude Beat: Breaking Down Obamas Inaugural Message

(NECN) - On the Braude Beat on Monday, Jim Braude and Latoyia Edwards broke down President Obama's inaugural message.

The president talked about unity, cooperation and ensuring equal rights for women and gays as the cornerstones of his administration for the next four years.

What was Braude’s takeaway? The inaugural speech wasn’t Obama’s best, but it was still OK.

“I didn’t say I didn’t like it,” Braude said. “I said that I didn’t think it was extraordinary. … I watched it again because the reviews have been far better than mine was, and I have to say that on reflection, there were some pretty remarkable, memorable moments.”
