Courtroom Video: Steven Spader Convicted of Murder in Mont Vernon Home Invasion

(NECN: Nashua, NH) - A New Hampshire jury has found Steven Spader guilty of murder in a deadly Mont Vernon home invasion.

The jury of six men and six women reached a decision after deliberating for less than two hours.

42-year-old Kimberly Cates was killed in the October 2009 machete attack and her 11-year-old daughter, Jaimie, was severely injured.

Spader has pleaded not guilty.

Today is Spader's 19th birthday.

Spader will automatically be sentenced to life in prison.
