(NECN: Greg Wayland, Danville, NH) - Firefighters are investigating the cause of a house explosion in Danville, N.H.

This happened around noon on Pine St. and an elderly woman was inside the home.

The woman is still missing at this time.

The 88-year-old widow had lived by herself.

"I knew the lady well, I was helping her," said neighbor Ron Metcalfe of Audrey.

The disaster happened while he was on his routine daily visit to deliver "Meals on Wheels."

"It blew the front wall right of the house," said Metcalfe.

"I started calling for Audrey. I could hear here. She was trying to answer me, and I went in to try and find her, but I couldn't breathe, so I had to leave."

The search is on for Audrey and for the cause.
