(NECN) - Officials say the suspect behind the hit-and-run in Roxbury resulting in a pursuit by Boston, Rockland and Mass. State Police was shot by police and declared dead at arrival at the hospital.
The pursuit ended near Rockland, on Route 3 South at Exit 14.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz says that the suspect was aggressively attempting to evade capture, and struck at least one police cruiser.
Cruz says the man was shot by Boston officers when he struck the patrol car.
Two Boston Police officers, one Mass. State officer and one Rockland Police officer were injured in the pursuit of the suspect.
