Decorating the White House for the Holidays

(NECN) - Homeowners who think decorating for the holidays is a challenge can take a lesson from Maureen Reddy. She's a local designer who decorating THE house - the White House, that is.

Reddy owns Davinci Designer Gallery in Winthrop, Mass.

She began her career at Jordan Marsh, and has worked her way up the ranks to the biggest house in the political world.

She was one of 136 designers, florists and artisans from around the country selected to work on the president's home.

After five days of work, 37 trees, 60 wreaths, and several yards of garland - the White House was prepared for its anticipated 85,000 visitors.

Reddy joined "The Morning Show" to share some simple decorating tips for the average homeowner
