(TV Diner) - Bill Codman of Island Creek Oysters in Boston, winner of the recent Iron Bartender contest sponsored by Jim Beam, shows how to make one of his signature drinks.
Marina Punch
Ingredients:
1/2 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 dashes Ginger Thai Chili Bitters
1.5 ounces Cruzan Rum
Peychaud's Bitters
passion fruit puree
crushed ice
Directions: In a glass, add one cube of pineapple, fresh basil and muddle. Add lime juice, of simple syrup, 2 dashes of Ginger Thai Chili Bitters, and 1.5 oz. of Cruzan Rum. Shake to combine, and set aside.
In a separate glass add three dashes of Peychaud's Bitters passion fruit puree, and crushed ice. Top with strained cocktail mixture that was set aside. Garnish with a piece of pineapple.
