(NECN) - Hundreds of people in Connecticut are losing their jobs.
Our affiliate WTNH reports California-based Health Net is closing their office in Shelton, Connecticut. About 750 people will lose their jobs.
The layoffs will start this January, and continue through March 2012.
The company had told its workers that they'll be rewarded severance packages when they leave.
Health Net, based in California, has a total of about 9,000 employees.
