(NECN: Peter Howe, Boston) - The 29th annual Boston Globe ski and snowboard expo is underway through this weekend, a festival of deals on ski equipment and lift tickets and passes and off-season workout equipment.
Olympic gold medal freestyle skier Hannah Kearney, a Norwich, Vt., native, came with some big news Friday: the Sprint U S freestyle championships will be held March 25 through 28 at Stratton Mountain in Vermont. It's the first time the event has been there since 1988.
The show is open at the World Trade Center from 10 am to 8 pm Saturday and 10 am to 6 pm Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults and kids up to age 12 are free.
