ALFRED, Maine (AP) - A New York man who testified against a
brother and sister convicted of killing the woman's husband in Old
Orchard Beach, Maine, is going to prison for eight years for his
role in the case.
Rennie Cassimy was originally charged with murder and conspiracy
in the 2008 death of Winston George.
But Cassimy made a deal with prosecutors in which he would
testify against Darlene George of Old Orchard Beach and Jeffrey
Williams of West Hempstead for the killing of Winston George.
Cassimy pleaded guilty to a charge of conspiracy to commit murder.
During a court appearance Wednesday in York County Superior
Court in Alfred, Cassimy apologized for his role in the killing of
Winston George.
