Mass. Family Makes Emotional Plea to Daughter's Killer

(NECN: Kristen Carosa) - Heather Bish read a letter written by her mom as her family puts their sadness into words.

“It's been a long time - a very long 13 years without Molly.”

After all these years, Magi Bish wrote this letter to her daughter’s killer. It makes a direct plea asking for the person to come forward.

The renewed effort comes just days before Molly Bish would have turned 30 years old.

“She has never had hate in her heart for this person that did this - she felt that if she reacts out in compassion that maybe he would come forward.”

It was 13 years ago that Molly was abducted from her lifeguard post at Comins Pond in Warren. Her remains were found three years later but her killer is still a mystery.

“We have had some circumstantial evidence from somebody in Florida but we haven't had any answers yet.”

In the heart-wrenching letter, Magi writes, "we have walked in the valley of hell. You have created a fear that haunted my family. It must stop!"

“We don't know what happened to Molly; it’s very scary.”

The letter goes on to say, "we made a promise to Molly: you know we will never stop looking for you! That is the power of love."

“We just want to find that one missing piece that the state police have said is missing from the puzzle.”

Along with the letter, a poster has been posted around town and on social media.

Through their efforts, they're hoping to find closure.

“Our fight continues - not just for Molly's justice but for all of us to have peace of mind.”
