(NECN: Boston, Mass.) - MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo says Green Line service has been restored near Boston's Fenway Park. Workers today had to throw sand bags around the entrance to a subway station near Fenway as the Muddy River rose to 15 feet. The sand bags have since been removed.
There is a much different story taking place further west on the D Line in Newton between Chestnut Hill and Newton Center. Service has been suspended between Riverside and Reservoir. Bus service is in place.
About 40-feet of rail bed has been washed out.
