(NECN) - A public memorial service was scheduled to be held on Sunday for a 17-month-old New Hampshire boy who was killed in a fire last December.

The service for Garrett Grice was expected to start at 1 p.m. at the Halcyon Club in Derry.

Garrett was sleeping in his crib when the fire - caused by unattended cooking on the kitchen stove - quickly developed.

The toddler died of smoke inhalation.
