Michael Jackson's Doctor Faces Four Years in Jail

(CNN: NECN: Sandra Endo: Los Angeles) - It took a jury nearly 10 hours to find Dr. Conrad Murray guilty Monday of involuntary manslaughter for giving an overdose of a powerful anesthetic, causing the singer's death in June 2009.

La Toya Jackson, the singer's sister, gasped when the verdict was read. Murray faces up to four years in prison at his sentencing later this month.

Although a gag order was lifted, jurors have so far declined to comment on the verdict.

Robert Jubinville, a local defense attorney, says he wasn't surprised at the verdict, given the amount of criminal negligence in the case.
