NSTAR: ‘We've Suffered Significant Damage'

(NECN) - In Massachusetts, NSTAR is working to restore power to tens of thousands of customers after Hurricane Sandy ripped through New England.

At the height of power outages, over 1.5 million New Englanders were left without power.

Michael Durand from NSTAR joined NECN to look at those outages and what the company is doing to restore power.

NSTAR has over 4,000 workers throughout the area, according to Durand.

"We are working to get the largest numbers of customers back restored as quickly as possible."
