(NECN) - According to Boston Public Health, a child under the age of 6 who is a Boston resident and had the flu has died.
Boston Public Health Commission Communications Director Nick Martin says BPH has confirmed the child had the flu, but they still have to conduct tests to confirm the child died from the flu.
Martin says the child died earlier this week, and adds an elderly resident also died from flu-related complications.
These two deaths brings the total of flu-related deaths in Boston to six.
