Parents of Sandy Hook Victim Speak Out for First Time

(NECN: Brian Burnell) – We are hearing from the parents of a first grader killed in the Newtown, Conn., shooting last month.

Chase Kowalski's parents said the loss of their son was a horrible nightmare, but his mother Becky said she is certain her son is guiding her on how to move forward. In fact, she said he came to her just hours after the shooting while she was sleeping

NECN's Brian Burnell brought us the heart-wrenching tale they told to David Ushery, a reporter from NECN’s affiliate in New York City.

"He just had a big heart and he shared with everybody," Becky Kowalski said.

"There's probably anger in there, but what are you going to do? You can't change ... You can't turn back the clock," Stephen Kowalski added.
